The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek (ABC) and is one of the most popular short to medium length treks in Nepal. Annapurna base camp trek at an altitude of over 4,000m. It is an oval-shaped plateau which is surrounded by mountains especially, Annapurna range of over 7,000m. The Annapurna base camp trek is characterized by various ecosystems due to typical combination of heights and depths. The jungles of rhododendron and bamboo in south facing slopes capture the heart of any trekker whereas the rain shaded part of north facing slopes expose you to drier and colder climate which is almost similar to Tibetan Plateau located nearby.
